There are fantastic new main prizes this year and everyone who enters this prestigious international contest is also told the judges score for each song and gets an official UKSC Certificate with details of their song's achievements.
The UKSC's Platinum Album, Grammy, Emmy, CMA and BRIT Award winning judges include the legendary british producer Stuart Epps (Elton John, Robbie Williams, Oasis), Shelly Peiken (number one hits with Christina Aguilera and others,) Britney Spears' musical director and BRIT Award winner Simon Ellis, top producer and arranger Richard Niles (Paul McCartney, Kylie Minogue, Take That, Mariah Carey), Sting's producer and Double Grammy and Emmy winner Kipper Eldridge, CMA Award winning country star Lucie Diamond, hit songwriter Mark Cawley, Oscar nominated TV and Film Composer Jamie Serafi, and past UKSC winner and Platinum Album artist Natalie Chua (signed by Simon Cowell after her UKSC win). See judge's details here.
Winners, Finalists, Semi Finalists, Commended Entries...
There are 20 main Winners in this contest (one for each of the Song Categories) and also many Finalist, Semi Finalist and Commended Entry winners - see the Prizes Page for full details of the great prizes this year. Everyone who enters has their songs examined and rated by industry professionals and everyone also receives valuable song pitching opportunities and songwriting courses at SongU and a Broadjam membership (together worth US$100 - around £80). In addition every songwriter in the contest is given the judges score for each song and receives a UKSC Certificate for every song entered with details of the writer's achievement and position. This competition gives a genuine chance to all songwriters to be noticed and discovered by the music industry in London and to have their songs judged, rated and scored by industry professionals. No other contest works harder or provides so many opportunities to songwriters.
Many UKSC entrants have received royalty earning radio play and many have been featured in the press, in radio interviews and on prime time television around the world. Entrants have been published, signed and produced and have worked with by top industry figures as a result of entering this contest - Simon Cowell for example signed one of the winners who went on to receive a platinum album award.
