The ISAs - International Songwriting Awards

THE INTERNATIONAL SONGWRITING AWARDS (the ISA's) is an international songwriting competition from some of the most respected and trusted names in music. It is presented by the ISA Academy, top music industry professionals in association with The International Song Copyright Organization (SCO), The Music Aid Foundation (musicaid.org) and The UK Songwriting Contest. This is an opportunity for all songwriters, beginners and established, to promote their work, represent their country and to receive awards, prizes and international publicity.  When you enter a song in The  UK Songwriitng Contest you can also submit tot the ISAs at the same time.   Visit the ISAs here.

The UK Songwriting Contest 2019

There are fantastic new main prizes this year and everyone who enters this prestigious international contest is also told the judges score for each song and gets an official UKSC Certificate with details of their song's achievements.

The UKSC's Platinum Album,  Grammy, Emmy, CMA and BRIT Award winning judges include the legendary british producer Stuart Epps (Elton John, Robbie Williams, Oasis), Shelly Peiken (number one hits with Christina Aguilera and others,) Britney Spears' musical director and BRIT Award winner Simon Ellis, top producer and arranger Richard Niles (Paul McCartney, Kylie Minogue, Take That, Mariah Carey), Sting's producer and Double Grammy and Emmy winner Kipper Eldridge, CMA Award winning country star Lucie Diamond, hit songwriter Mark Cawley, Oscar nominated TV and Film Composer Jamie Serafi, and past UKSC winner and Platinum Album artist Natalie Chua (signed by Simon Cowell after her UKSC win).  See judge's details here.

2019 UK SONGWRITING CONTEST

All songwriters and lyricists are welcome. It doesn't matter where you live or if you are a complete beginner or an experienced writer. You can enter as many songs in as many categories as you wish. It is quick and easy to upload and enter an MP3 of your song - and Lyrics Only entries can be easily submitted online using a very simple form. If you have any questions they will be answered on the Help / Info Page.

Winners, Finalists, Semi Finalists, Commended Entries...
There are 20 main Winners in this contest (one for each of the Song Categories) and also many Finalist, Semi Finalist and Commended Entry winners - see the Prizes Page for full details of the great prizes this year. Everyone who enters has their songs examined and rated by industry professionals and everyone also receives valuable song pitching opportunities and songwriting courses at SongU and a Broadjam membership (together worth US$100 - around £80). In addition every songwriter in the contest is given the judges score for each song and receives a UKSC Certificate for every song entered with details of the writer's achievement and position. This competition gives a genuine chance to all songwriters to be noticed and discovered by the music industry in London and to have their songs judged, rated and scored by industry professionals. No other contest works harder or provides so many opportunities to songwriters.

Many UKSC entrants have received royalty earning radio play and many have been featured in the press, in radio interviews and on prime time television around the world. Entrants have been published, signed and produced and have worked with by top industry figures as a result of entering this contest -  Simon Cowell for example signed one of the winners who went on to receive a platinum album award.

OPEN TO EVERYONE
This contest is open to songwriters from every country. Beginners and experienced writers are welcome and all are judged equally. This is an international contest with entries from every continent. Everyone has the same opportunity to showcase their work to top people in the music industry in London and have their work examined and judged in the UK and to appear in the Awards Show no matter where they live. Completee beginners have as much chance to be succesful as everyone else who enters. See the Testimonials Page for genuine unsolicited comments from songwriters.

CERTIFICATES
Every writer will receive a personalised UKSC Certificate for each song entered - it will look great framed on your studio or living room wall, as a prop in publicity photographs, or use it in your press kit or for when you apply for courses or jobs etc. Every writer will also know the exact judges score for each song entered.
